I'm ON

Ok.. friends! I'm on....
I did it! I started my blog. I'm not guaranteeing that it will be spectacular, or even that I'll write a lot, but I will try. Hmmmm... What to tell you???
Today, JP left for China. He'll be there for 8+ days. I'm soooo excited for him and know that he and his uncle will have a great time. If it weren't for our sweet bundle of joy, I'd be on that plane so fast... but, alas, we do have a sweet bundle who needs one of us to take care of her daily needs - food, diapers, play time, more food, more diapers and eventually sleep time.

SO, today, ( maybe this can be a "journal" space for me? we'll see) anways, today Eva Lynn and I ran errands getting all those last minute things done for JP. I had a very nice long talk with my sister-in-law. It was great! Are you thankful for your family? I am. I just love talking with Kathryn. She's so good to listen to me, share her stories... and she asks great, challenging questions. I love that she loves me even as she learns more and more about me. Isn't it great to be known and to know others. Kath, I hope you know how much I love you.

Whatelse? I've been thinking about girlfriends a lot these days. I have found some amazing friends here in KS. What a joy it is to share life, I mean real life, with these women. Sometimes we just run errands, sometimes we eat lunch while our kiddos sleep or play and sometimes we go out for a night out. Like this past Monday, several of us (16 to be exact) spent the evening getting pampered - Pedicures!!! My friend Nadia introduced me to this place called Nail Perfection Spa (www.nailperfection-spa.com). Would you believe that their pedicure area has 22, yes 22, massaging spa chairs? What a great setup to enjoy appetizers, desserts, friends, and all while you're being pampered!! Thanks to the team at Nail Perfection and ladies, if you're in the area, we'll be doing this again in January!

Friends... speaking of great friends. Just a couple of weekends ago, I spent some time in St. Louis with some wonderful friends from college. And next weekend, some of my girlfriends are coming here to visit us in our new home!!! Friends from DC, NY and STL... woo hoo! How blessed I am to have so many amazing women in my life!

Ok.. so there's some thoughts from today.

Ummm ... you need to add more stuff to your blog. ;)

I was trying to add something twice a week, but looks like my last entry was January 18th. Off to my site I go!
